Misfits eliminate Na`Vi in Tours

After each team traded two kills, "⁠⁠" ended their Terrorist pistol round on Cobblestone with a well-succeeded A execution. Despite that loss, Natus Vincere were able to buy in the third round after losing the second. After a back and forth moment, Egor "⁠flamie⁠" Vasilyev closed the gun round with a 1v2 clutch with the UMP-45.

The North American team then bought one more time. Although they took control of the B bombsite and Shahzeb "⁠ShahZaM⁠" Khan almost pulled off a 1v3 clutch, Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin won the round with a 1v1 play. The fifth round then went Natus Vincere's way, but and François "⁠amanek⁠" Delaunay secured the following one with a triple and a double-kill, respectively, to tie the map 3-3.

Despite losing the first map, Misfits managed to win the best-of-three

The CIS-based team continued to control the map, even with Misfits' opening kills throughout the first half, as they kept winning rounds until their opponents finally pulled one off in the 13th round. However, before switching sides, Natus Vincere won two more to secure an 11-4 lead.

As for the second half, Ioann "⁠Edward⁠" Sukhariev and co. pushed through drop to execute B and secure the pistol round. Misfits were then able to win their force-buy and eventually the next round. Still, from that point onward, Natus Vincere continued to dominate Cobblestone as they only lost two more rounds to finish the map 16-7.

After Cobblestone, Na`Vi seemed like they could easily win the series

Train, Natus Vincere's pick, began with ShahZaM opening the pistol round and Hunter "⁠SicK⁠" Mims finishing it with a triple-kill. Before the CIS men won their only round as Terrorists, Misfits kept prevailing and overwhelming their opponents with a dominating and impressive 14-round streak.

All North American players contributed throughout the first half with multi-kills, but ShahZaM was especially important – he had 23 frags and clutched, for example, a 1v2 against seized and Ladislav "⁠GuardiaN⁠" Kovács.

The second half seemed like an easy job for ShahZaM's squad since they only needed two rounds to take the series to a third map. Despite that fact, Natus Vincere still won four straight rounds before stepped up for his team once again and killed three to put his team on map point. After Na`Vi won another four rounds, Misfits closed out the map 16-9 with a B execution.

Misfits are through to the playoffs in their first LAN event with the new roster

The decider map, Mirage, started with Misfits executing A and winning their Terrorist pistol round. After grabbing a 3-0 lead, the North American squad failed to secure the first gun round but managed to pick up the following one – which broke Natus Vincere's economy for two rounds.

Just like on Train, Misfits surprised their opponents with some overwhelming plays that resulted in a four-round streak. David "⁠devoduvek⁠" Dobrosavljevic almost secured the next round with a 1v3 clutch but, after killing two, the round went Na`Vi's way as the clock ran out. However, Sean "⁠seang@res⁠" Gares and co. continued to crush Natus Vincere's defense as they only lost two more rounds – one thanks to a quad-kill from Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev – to secure a breathtaking 11-4 lead by the end of the first half.

With another pistol round and an anti-eco in their favor, Misfits got closer to winning the series. As they picked the first gun round, amanek and his teammates killed off Natus Vincere's chances of pulling off a comeback and easily closed the map with an impressive 16-4 scoreline.
