DreamHack Open Tours 2017HR to DH Tours final over Misfits
HellRaisers are through to the final at DreamHack Open Tours after moving past Misfits 2-0 (16-14 on Cobblestone and 16-7 on Cache).
The series kicked off on Cobblestone, where Misfits won the pistol round as Terrorists and the corresponding anti-ecos to take a 3-0 lead. With Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk and Martin "STYKO" Styk getting key frags, HellRaisers won five rounds in a row, but the remaining rounds were highly contested, with the half ending in a close 8-7 scoreline in Misfits' favour.
The second half began with a 1v3 clutch from bondik to tie up the game at 8-8. After getting their economy back on track, Misfits responded with a trio of rounds, but HellRaisers regained control of the game and hit match point.
Down 11-15, Misfits took three rounds in a row thanks to strong individual plays from Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan and François "amanek" Delaunay, only to fall at the final hurdle as the last round went to HellRaisers.
The map that followed was Cache, where HellRaisers got out to a 3-0 lead, powered by Bence "DeadFox" Böröcz, who was already on 10 frags at this point. With a 1v2 clutch from Patrik "Zero" Žúdel, the European team won the first gun round, and they followed that up with another round to enlarge their lead to 5-0.
HellRaisers continued picking up rounds and eventually brought the scoreline to a 7-1 advantage. That was when Misfits' defence finally flourished, with the North Americans picking up five more rounds before the end of the half.
The European team carried their momentum into the second half and won five rounds in a row to increase their lead to 14-6. The next round then went Misfits' way with an A split, but HellRaisers rallied back and won two in a row to secure a convincing 16-7 victory.
