EPL S5 relegation schedule set

The schedule for the European and North American ESL Pro League Relegation matches had been released, with the teams set to play for spots in EPL Season 6 this week.

After both the ESEA Premier Season 24 and ESL Pro League Season 5 regular seasons finished, the teams that will be playing the relegation matches have been found. In Europe, HellRaisers and Virtus.pro are in danger of losing their Pro League spot, while Rush and The Foundation will be in the same position in North America.

Virtus.Pro are once again in danger of being relegated

The relegation format has been slightly changed from last season, and now features a double-elimination BO3 bracket. Four teams from each region will compete in the relegation matches: the 12th and 13th placed Pro League teams and the 2nd and 3rd placed teams from ESEA Premier Season 24.

The matches will be played on May 16-18, with the European schedule available below:

Europe:
Tuesday, May 16th
18:00	HellRaisers	vs. PENTA	BO3
21:00	Virtus.pro	vs. BIG	BO3
Wednesday, May 17th
18:00	Elimination match		BO3
21:00	Winners' match		BO3
Thursday, May 18th
16:00	Decider match		BO3

The North American matches will be played on the same days, after the European ones finish:

They didn't put anything. GODSENT won premier, BIG was 2nd, PENTA 3rd In EPL Kinguin was last (14), GODSENT will take their place in next season. VP was 13, Hellraisers 12. Its obvious that 2nd premier team playing 14th epl and 3rd premier team playing 13th epl team My advice is to think 2 or even 3 times before commenting...

Too bad EPL is a useless tournament which can't even motive top tier EU teams to even try playing hard in. Every season we see mainly teams struggling to reach the top5 qualify for the offline final.

I think mostly it's because online game-play is very different from LAN. Plus, teams should be giving their best as the prize pool is also reasonably high.

Im not a big fan of online leagues. In my opinion leagues should be lans but its obviously just not possible given how many officials in diefferent leagues/tourneys they have to play

Apparently their sponsors don't really care about that prize money since teams rarely push hard to go to the lans. Something has to be wrong for them not willing to even try (look at vp and astralis, they are just scrimming when they play epl, others as well).
