Mythic add anger, summit to backup

Todd "anger" Williams has joined the ranks of Mythic once again, as the team secured promotion to ESEA Premier.

The North American "stream team" Mythic had a solid season in ESEA Main Season 24, finishing 4th in the regular part and ending up 3-4th in the playoffs, losing to TheGosuCrew.

After earning promotion to ESEA Premier, the streaming star Jaryd "⁠summit⁠" Lazar decided to take a step back and fill the backup role due to feeling burnt out. Replacing him is Eric "⁠adreN⁠" Hoag's former teammate from the early IBUYPOWER days, Todd "⁠anger⁠" Williams.

anger was a part of David "⁠Xp3⁠" Garrido's Denial up until recently, when the 29-year-old parted ways with the team due to personal reasons.

lol no he wasn't... literally burned out on CSGO and doesn't want the constant obligation to practice and play the game the team gave him a week or 2 to make up his mind and he decided to not play in the upcoming season

It wasn't just that. Mountain Dew owns the rights to broadcast premier. He wanted to stream the matches, but mountain dew was going to require him to put something about mountain dew in the title which he can't do because he is sponsored by monster. I think if he could stream the matches without sponsor issues he may have kept playing, but not being able to stream the matches is a pretty big deal for someone like him.

eh... i don't think it's that deep i watch his streams every day and it's almost a daily event where he talks about how he's sick of the game itself.... he barely ever streams CS anymore and he has expressed that he simply doesn't want to put in the time and effort anymore

I don't watch his stream all the time, but he definitely said on stream that he could not stream the games because of this while the rest of the team could because they don't have drink sponsors and that he definitely wasn't playing if he couldn't stream the matches.

It's not as though it's supposed to be a serious team though is it, it's for fun for there streams so it really doesn't matter who they add as long as they enjoy playing with them.

Keep in mind they believe in the power of a team.. They won't be doing crazy new executes since people would know they are doing since they stream everything. So it's a well organized mm team :-P

Adren dropped to this level because none of those teams want him, its been said many times he struggles with aim duels at the top level and despite having a great understanding of the game he does not project his thoughts well and is a poor leader of men

I guess winning some matches and going to ESEA Premier changes things. Also, Hoag loves competition and wants the whole team to get better. Summit wasn't on their level when they started and despite him improving his game, he still isn't on par with the rest. Summit never really played like this before, obviously had a crazy amount of shit to learn, while expectations and pressure only increase as they were winning matches. The burn out might be real.

Summit performed fine. If anyone can't compete at premier level it is probably Polen. Adren and Fl0m are definitely the best fraggers, but Polen was quite a bit below everyone else on the team stats wise anyway.

I think the stress just got to him. If you watched any of the games mythic played, you could hear it in his voice. He wouldn't even use his webcam during matches.
