SK overrun fnatic; NV beat C9

SK Gaming have extended their perfect start to life in Dallas with a comprehensive 16-3 victory over fnatic, while EnVyUs have picked up their first win after defeating Cloud9.

The battle for the first spot of Group A began with a flying start from SK, who cruised to an 8-0 lead as they gave fnatic very little room to operate. With no bomb plants and only one of their players having more than one kill, fnatic were forced to call a timeout to discuss their strategy.

The Swedish team then finally got a round on the board with a quick force-buy execute towards A, and they followed that up with another round thanks to two entry frags from Dennis "dennis" Edman inside B. But the Brazilians, powered by the in-form Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, would quickly regain control of proceedings, taking 12 rounds into the second half.

SK made easy work of fnatic

A flawless pistol round from SK piled even more misery on fnatic and put the Europeans with their backs against the wall. With little money to work with, fnatic were helpless to prevent the Brazilians from locking down the map, 16-3, and securing their third win of the tournament.

Cloud9 went into the match against EnVyUs hoping to build on the stunning victory over G2, but they were unable to fend off the challenge of Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer's men, who took nine rounds on the Terrorist side following two big win streaks.

The North Americans came from the break looking much livelier and won four of the first six rounds to bring the deficit to a minimum. That was when EnVyUs' defence finally flourished as they won three rounds in a row to make it 14-10.

EnVyUs bounce back after two defeats

Timothy "autimatic" Ta then gave Cloud9 fans some hope with a quad kill, but Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom pulled off a 1v2 clutch to put his team on match point. That round left Cloud9 in complete disarray, and the Frenchmen took advantage of that to take the map, 16-11.

Nope, all the tournaments have been in NA lately. All the bigger ones at least. We need to restore the era when all the important tournaments were in EU. Where all the good teams and their fans are from

I don't understand why Europeans are so self-centered about this. We get bad times usually.

It used to be us only getting bad times. Never saw as much complaining, funny enough. Don't worry, Cologne among other events are still going to be on EU time.

Why not? Imt is looking awful with kng, the only problem here is fnatic, and they just need to stay away from inferno, fnatic's best map, and they have a clear shot.
