CIS Minor - PGL Major Krakow 2017pro100 through to CIS Minor playoffs
pro100 have secured the final spot in the CIS Minor playoffs after edging past Spartak on three maps.
With Quantum Bellator Fire already through to the playoffs after surprisingly topping Group B, Spartak and Spirit faced each other in the elimination match.
Despite a strong individual performance from Anatoliy "liTTle" Yashin, Spartak could not prevent Spirit from taking the lead in the series with an overtime victory on Nuke. However, Sergey "starix" Ischuk's men were unable to close it out as Spartak picked up wins on Train and Inferno to turn the match around.
Spartak carried their momentum into the decider match, against pro100, and won the first map, Mirage, by a 16-13 scoreline, thanks to another great display from liTTle. With their backs against the wall, the Ukrainians upped the tempo and took the next two maps, Nuke and Cobblestone, sealing a 2-1 win that puts them through to the semi-finals.
