OpTic join WESA; FaZe return
The World Esports Association (WESA) has announced that OpTic Gaming have joined them as a full member.
OpTic, whose team are currently ranked 7th in the world, become the third organisation to join WESA since the association came to life, in May of last year, with the goal to further professionalise esports.

They follow in the footsteps of SK Gaming and Renegades, who became permanent WESA members at the end of March.
"We share the same vision as WESA and its membership to professionalise the esports industry," said OpTic owner Hector Rodriguez.
“We look forward to working with the organisation and our fellow Members on advancing the progress that they have already made.”
FaZe also return to WESA as a full member, little over a year after they left the association, citing a lack of transparency in the way it planned to accomplish its mission statement.
At the time, FaZe also slammed WESA for its hasty launch, but in a statement, manager Erik Anderson explains that the association has come a long way since then.
"We have been impressed by WESA’s growth and impact on the industry since the organization’s founding, from hiring a professional Commissioner to adding more North American teams, as well as introducing key regulations," Anderson said.
"We look forward to FaZe Clan being an active member of WESA to help continue to grow the esports industry."
