dignitas have got their Europe Minor campaign off to a great start after defeating LDLC 16-8 on Train.
The match began with dignitas pushing the inner site and planting the bomb uncontested. They were, however, unable to hold it and got slaughtered without picking up a single frag.
After getting the bomb planted in an eco round, dignitas got their first round on the board with a full buy in the third round. With Ricardo "fox" Pacheco showing glimpses of his old form and getting important entry frags, the Norwegian team jumped out to a 6-2 lead.
With the game starting to drift, Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans rescued LDLC with a fantastic AWP ace, following it up with a timely pause. That ended up being the boost that LDLC needed as they would give up just two more rounds before the end of the half, bringing the deficit to 7-8.
The second half's pistol round was an exact copy of the first as LDLC got shut down after planting the bomb in B. LDLC took a while to get their economy back on track, but even once that happened, they could not string rounds together, leaving them strapped for cash.
After a couple of shoddy buys on their opponents' part, dignitas quickly hit match point. Ex6TenZ still called a tactical pause to discuss the strategy for the all-important next round, but LDLC would not be able to find a way past the Norwegians' defence.
