SK beat Singularity at DH Summer

SK defeated Singularity 16-9 on Cobblestone in the first match at DreamHack Open Summer 2017.

The first game at the $100,000 event was between SK and Singularity. The Group A best-of-one opening match was on Cobblestone where the Brazilians started on the CT-side and secured the first round with João "felps" Vasconcellos's triple kill.

After losing the eco rounds and trailing 3-0, Singularity won their first round thanks to Peter "Inzta" Kragelund's quad kill. The Danes went on to take the lead with solid T-side plays (4-3). After losing the initial two kills in the following round, Singularity got back into it and won the 3vs5 on the B-site, extending their lead to 5-3.

SK start with a win

SK responded two rounds later, trailing 4-6. Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo & company won a 2vs2 in the following round but Singularity stood strong and prevented SK from tying the game (7-5). SK was in control towards the end of the half and led 8-7 at halftime.

Despite losing the second half pistol round, SK won the second one with a force buy, breaking Singularity's economy. In Singularity's next buy round, they lost a 2vs1 against Marcelo "coldzera" David which made the score 12-8 in favor of SK. The Brazilians went on to win the match 16-9.

"should have" are words that shouldn't exist in sports tbh NiP should have lost Oakland, they'd have probably won that grand final once in ten times. Yet they did win. C9 shouldn't have overperformed like that in sao pauo, yet they did

You don't learn much from beating t2 teams, that's like racing a race car vs a normal car. Big difference. They're only there for bragging rights and easy points.

I think every match you play against professionals you learn something And this is just the first match, they can still face teams like fnatic, c9, gambit and other in this tournament
