BIG beat PENTA to win Europe Minor

After defeating Dignitas 2-0 in the consolidation final earlier today, BIG set up a title match against PENTA. On Train, PENTA's map pick, Fatih "⁠gob b⁠" Dayik's men continued their quest for first place with a nearly-flawless T-side pistol round.

Despite losing the first gun round, BIG managed to grab the following one. Then, their opponents decided to bet on a double AWP setup and looked ready to pick up their second round, but Johannes "⁠nex⁠" Maget and Kevin "⁠keev⁠" Bartholomäus clutched a 2v4 to help their team reach a 5-1 lead.

gob b and co. kept overrunning PENTA's defence throughout the half, closing it out with a 12-3 scoreline. In the second half, BIG easily won four rounds in a row to finish off the first map with a dominant 16-3 scoreline.

On the last day of the Minor, BIG won 2-0 against three teams to secure the title

On Overpass, BIG's pick, PENTA grabbed the pistol round as Counter-Terrorists. Johannes "⁠tabseN⁠" Wodarz's team then won an eco round and followed it up with two more, getting out to a 3-1 lead. After equalising the score, Paweł "⁠innocent⁠" Mocek's squad could not hold their opponents' pushes in the next two rounds.

In the ninth round, keev almost pulled off a 1v2 clutch, but it was Kevin "⁠kRYSTAL⁠" Amend who guaranteed the fourth for his team. But in spite of PENTA's effort, BIG kept winning rounds before their opponents finally pulled one off in the last round of the first half.

tabseN opened up the second half with an impressive quad kill with the USP-S in the pistol round, which gob b closed out with a knife kill. After picking up the corresponding anti-ecos, BIG still lost one round, but they comfortably won the map 16-6 to close out the series 2-0 and secure the Europe Minor title.
