felps: Staying [in EU] until the Major ends

After SK defeated mousesports to secure a spot in the semi-final we had a quick chat with João "felps" Vasconcellos who talked about their stay in Europe and their matches so far.

SK recovered from a defeat by their countrymen Immortals in the opening day of DreamHack Open Summer 2017 by taking down MOUZ in a BO3 series. After Inferno and Mirage were played out the map score was 2-0, and the Brazilians booked their ticket for the semi-final against CLG tomorrow.

For felps, winning DH Summer would be additional motivation for upcoming events

In a short post-match interview, João "felps" Vasconcellos confirmed that they will be staying in Europe until the Major and touched on the games against Immortals and MOUZ.

You have a busy period now with a few tournaments following in the row, does that make you take this one like preparation for what is coming?

We always play to win, we never take anything for granted, and winning this tournament would only be extra motivation for what is coming.

Can you tell me a bit about you staying in Europe after this tournament, how long is it going to be?

We will be taking advantage of the fact that the tournaments are so close to each other and that we are already here in Europe. We'll be playing and staying here until the end of the Major. After the Major we will have a break for about 20 days, back home in Brazil, and then we will return to playing tournaments.

Talking about the match against Immortals, you had a perfect record against them on LAN, what was different this time, why were they able to defeat you?

They played well, we played bad. *laughs* That was the difference.

In the last match you played mousesports. What was the struggle in the beginning, when you were on the CT side of Inferno?

They were reading us well, they were reading all the plays that we were making. But we just switched everything on the T side and we managed to claw back into the game and take it.

Tomorrow you are playing against CLG, from what you saw at the tournament, what are you expecting from that match?

It's going to be a tough match, but when we go through to the playoff everything changes. If we play like we know we can play, if everything goes according to plan, we will get the win for sure.
