SK beat FaZe; to ECS semi-finals

SK Gaming are the first team to secure a spot in the ECS Season 3 Finals last-four stage after defeating FaZe 16-8 in Group A's winners' match.

SK entered the match high on confidence after easing past G2 in the first round and cruised to a 3-0 lead after winning the pistol round with a B push, with Epitacio "⁠TACO⁠" de Melo getting three key frags.

Once they got money in the bank, FaZe finally managed to respond, picking up back-to-back rounds, but then SK rallied back on a shoddy buy after finding two entry kills in the B site.

The rest of the half was a complete blowout: every round won by FaZe was instantly countered by SK. Unable to build up their bank, the Europeans only managed to muster five rounds before the half came to an end.

SK passed two tests with flying colours

The second half began with SK stopping FaZe's A split, getting four kills without response. Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač still picked up three kills in a 1v5 situation before finally being taken down by the Brazilians, who would secure the next two rounds to bring the scoreline to a 13-5 advantage.

After getting their economy in order, FaZe won three rounds in a row, only to fall short in an anti-eco round in which Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David picked up three kills. That round left FaZe in a state of disarray, which the Brazilians capitalised on as they bagged the next two rounds to seal an emphatic victory.
