B & H through to group stage after all

On Monday it was reported that Portugal would play Bosnia and Herzegovina on a third and all deciding map. This will however not happen as ClanBase ruled Bosnia and Herzegovina though to the group stage.

Portugal filed a protest about a flashbug by Bosnia and Herzegovina, which meant the two would play a third map to determine the winner of the match. In the meantime, Bosnia and Herzegovina sent in a protest about Portugal breaking rules too.

Portugal’s player João "watsoN" Freitas, did not fill in the needed GUID information on the ClanBase website. ClanBase rules states that such information must be filled in 24 hours prior to official match start. Portugal receives a red card, for this inconvenience.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will however not go through unpunished. Bosnia and Herzegovina player Mili "Laquilla" Sivric was signed up on the ClanBase site, but was not added to the Bosnia and Herzegovina clan roster. Bosnia and Herzegovina therefore receives a yellow card.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will now be proceeding to the group stage, first match will be against Ukraine.

Yes, same shit with Portugal. It's they always whining. Unfair by Portugal to complain about a flashbug in a round they've won and didn't even lose a player, so I would say justice was served!!!

No, it wasn't unfair at all. Doesn't matter the outcome, they broke a rule. Do you think Watson not registering his Steam ID killed any Bosnia player?... Did it give any advantage to Portugal? No, but it's a rule, so Bosnia deserve the victory for breaking the rules far less than Portugal did.

Well you could easily check the steam id he used is his steam id.. Or he could register the steam id of the swedish guy instead. Or someone else could have played on his account.

Yeah, but IP would show different story. Don't want to argue, you said it yourself RULES ARE RULES! Follow the rules, and thing like this never happen. I never saw it happen to some more serious nation. Smaller nations just don't pay attention to the rules, and that's why this happens.

Exactly. It's a very simple rule, and punishments are hard. So if 99 out of 100 enter it, and you don't, than you are clearly noob. :) It's as simple as that.

Now you talk about rules but when the B&H done the flashbug you only say that we where whining, in one day you say one thing in the other day you say another -.-'. But is fair if watson was not registered in CB the only thing that was to be done was to lose by default.

I didn't say that BIH shouldn't have been punished, but it's just the way Portugal complained, about a round they've won. It's rule that was a bit harsh, but they shouldn't have complained about that.

Well sometimes it's better to lose very close, even against weak team, and drop out, instead going to some championship (or league) and then get crushed with 0. Just what happened to Serbia against Argentina in football. :D

Since B&H deserved this victory, they have my support in the next matches. Hope they get through the group. It would be lovely to see some other countries beat the danish supremacy besides sweeden and poland. Nothing against the danish, but it would just be nice. Good luck
