FlipSid3 fend off Renegades in Bucharest

FlipSid3 have won their first match at the PGL Major Krakow 2017 Main Qualifier, beating Renegades 19-16 on Train.

Renegades and FlipSid3 met on Train in a best-of-one series. The Australian team was on the CT-side and won the pistol round as Aaron "AZR" Ward and Justin "jks" Savage clutched a 2vs5. FlipSid3 responded in the first weapon round to trail 1-3.

The CIS-team secured three more rounds to take the lead. Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodenskiy & company lost two rounds in a row despite getting the opening kills in both rounds. Renegades kept their streak alive and won the half 11-4.

FlipSid3 complete the comeback

jks's 1vs2 clutch in the pistol round kicked off the second half which was followed by FlipSid3's force buy round win (12-5). FlipSid3 then secured three more rounds but a fast A-site push by Renegades gave the Aussies their thirteenth round (13-8).

Renegades couldn't convert four match points into the victory and the match went to overtime. FlipSid3 swept Renegades in the first half of overtime to lead 18-15. They closed it out on the T-side, winning 19-16.

Flipsid3 was the better team all around. Mistakes cost them so many rounds where they had no bsns losing. Renegades were gifted a win and they managed to fuck it up.

i would literally be fine if F3 was atleast doing well in other events and online besides the major qualifier but at this point this is becoming the biggest crime in CS, just like how Thorin said that the biggest crime in NA CS is when C9 somehow stays at the top of NA just to lose in like the playoffs of a LAN thus not allowing other NA teams to try and prove themselves, BUT WORSE WITH F3 WASTING THEIR MAJOR SPOT next time i see a gun skin with a F3 or any F3 player sticker on it ingame, ill literally throw it out of my reach, even if im in a clutch situation or in need to save a gun for the following round.

Why? If they win and perform vs teams when it matters (major qualifiers) then they deserve their spots. All the other teams can do what they're doing and slack and just show up when it matters...but it's not as easy as you say or else NiP won't be losing and dropping out in the minors for the minor qualifier of EU let alone the major qualifier. That said, all these teams are teams that f3 has the caliber to beat (besides maybe g2, but even they are shaky). That's those teams fault, if they all stepped it up a notch at astralis/SK level they wouldn't risk "wasting" a spot to f3 and f3 would be forced to take cs go more seriously, honestly f3 deserves it more than stagnant na trash like liquid and c9. Look at clown9, they are just like f3 not even changing roster or changing anything in their team, but unlike f3 they failed to make 2 majors in a row and still showed up at the 3rd one with the same roster. That's even worse than f3, and if they somehow manage to miss a 3rd one, as a fan of cs go I could only wish that shitty clown 9 and their blase attitude be banned from ever even being able to participate in a qualifier (although it won't happen). If f3 can't get punished for doing so, then that's because the teams are too inconsistent and shitty to punish a lowly f3 that's just breezing along. That's the other team's fault, not f3's (although I find their naive attitude disgusting, the official reddit account for f3 had the nerves to say "we only care about lans" when they were posting in a topic where people were bashing f3 for their shitty online results).

FlipSide just focus on Majors and show really nice results, while ex-tier1 EnVyus and NiP think they are to good to handle this shit and..lose.

this. I'm not a fan but they deserve a little respect for at least representing their org every major, doesn't mean they necessarily are the better team from the qualifier, they just do it every major it's impressive.
