Luminosity sign chelo & NEKIZ

Luminosity Gaming have announced that they have completed the signing of ex-paiN duo Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes and Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato.

The Brazilian duo will step into the shoes of Lucas "⁠destiny⁠" Bullo and Bruno "⁠shz⁠" Martinelli, with team coach Felippe "⁠felippe⁠" Martins having also been shown the exit door.

Marcelo "⁠chelo⁠" Cespedes and Gabriel "⁠NEKIZ⁠" Schenato were part of the paiN team who attended the ESEA Season 24 Global Challenge and the Americas Minor. Last week, the players decided to cut ties with the organisation in a bid to scale greater heights, but the squad has now been left in tatters following the departure of two players, with chelo's exit in particular being a bitter pill to swallow as the 19-year-old is widely regarded as one of the most talented young players hailing from Brazil.

By changing two players Luminosity hope to breathe some new life into the team, after the atmosphere in the squad, the organisation claim, "was frustrated" by the recent results.

The Brazilian team will soon begin preparations for the new tournament season, in which they will try to defend their ECS spot and qualify for the ESL Pro League Season 6 finals.

In terms of player value shoowtime's consistency might have had a pretty solid impact on this decision. He established himself as a pretty solid backup/2nd awper, and was trading well against higher seeded teams. SHZ is very talented with great explosion, yet struggled in a lot of bigger matches. Chelo is a nice pickup given that he must have had a relatively low signing fee compared to a few months ago. Smart player when opening bomb sites and few CT positional mistakes. From an ORG perspective / financial planning, LG played this out perfectly IMO. Unless shz has a "coldzera breakout season", their roster is certainly adding up on value in the near future. Good move considering the available talent and this team's strategic structure!

No, because Team Liquid and CLG actually attend events and are relevant to the scene. Luminosity does ok in pro league and never anything on LAN and their org is paying for them to live in a gaming house lmao Pain is even worse

Team Liquid and CLG Tier 3 teams... dont think they are so relevant... If u say Cloud9 i can agree.. but definitely TL and CLG does't make any difference in CS Scene.
