SicK: "[EnVyUs match] restored my confidence, but for the team it's a tough loss"
We caught up with Misfits' Hunter "SicK" Mims for a quick chat following his team's elimination from DreamHack Open Valencia at the hands of EnVyUs.
Misfits began their campaign in Valencia with a 16-8 loss against HEROIC on Overpass before falling short against Envy in a thrilling three-map series.

Read on as Hunter "SicK" Mims discusses what went wrong in the Spanish tournament and also the recent dismissal of coach Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu.
You started out with a defeat against Heroic. What did you discuss after that game?
Well, I don't think we talked that much. We were kind of “you know, screw it”, especially me, because I had played horribly. So it was more about resetting for the next game, and everybody went and relaxed for bit. When it is that bad, it's kind of hard to talk about anything. We just lost. So I don't think we talked about anything, we just mentally reset.
MODDII said in an interview yesterday that he was surprised that you had picked Overpass. But then you picked Overpass against EnVyUs again. I assume you feel confident on that map?
Yes, we are pretty confident. During the bootcamp before we came to Valencia, we played a decent amount [of Overpass]. It used to be our permanent ban, but now we have decided to integrate it in our map pool. I mean, it's working out, I guess, we're not that bad on it so I'm confident.
How was that bootcamp?
Obviously we played a lot and learned new things, I think it was good overall.
Against EnVyUs, you had a good game but you could not close it out. What went wrong?
I'm happy of how I played individually, but obviously it doesn't matter since we lost. For me, it kind of gives me more confidence going forward, considering how badly I had been playing and how well I did against EnVyUs. Personally, it kind of restored my confidence, but for the team it's obviously a tough loss.
But you'll have a chance to redeem yourselves in Atlanta, right?
Yes, we have DreamHack Atlanta coming up.
Did the situation with peacemaker influence impact your performances?
No, I think peacemaker kind of made everything stressful, he was kind of toxic at times. I mean, he's a good person, but I think he gets too emotional in the game, so that's why we had to get rid of him.
Do you think he might be a good addition to TyLoo?
It depends if TyLoo is willing to drop everything and listen to him only, because that is the kind of coach he is, he takes one for the team. So, if they can do that, I think they can do well.
