NiP release friberg

After a long standing tenure with the organization, NiP have released Adam "friberg" Friberg from his contract, the player revealed today via Twitter.

Adam "friberg" Friberg stepped down from Ninjas in Pyjamas's active roster in June, when the Swedish organization replaced him with the 19-year-old talent Fredrik "REZ" Sterner. Shortly after his release, friberg did reveal that he is open to a move to North America, but not much has been talked about what his next step would be since.

friberg is looking for new playing opportunities

Following a stint as a part of the broadcast crew at ESL One Cologne 2017, where he broke down the action on the analyst desk, friberg revealed that he is still hungry for titles and that he is looking for new opportunities, as Ninjas in Pyjamas released him from his contract.

friberg released the following TwitLonger on the matter:

"The last couple of weeks I've been thinking a lot about what I want to do, keep on playing or try something else. I still feel the hunger and will to keep on playing CSGO at the top level, put in those extra hours to be able to lift a trophy again."

"After talking with NiP, they have agreed to release me from my contract and put me out as a free agent for the coming season. After being part of the organisation since it's rebirth in 2012 it will be strange to not represent them while playing, both the organisation and players will still have a big place in my heart."

"If you have an offer you can reach me on Twitter DM or email to: [email protected]"

With many teams looking to make changes in the off season, both in Europe and North America, the experienced Swede could be getting some interesting offers in the coming weeks.

It's not about setting it as a goal joining a new team. It's about keeping the option open to compete in majors. Thus he won't join the ex-ibp guys.

Well, yeah, but I doubt he'll get offers from anywhere (which, if people were eager to jump on this chance, would have already done it by now), so he'll probably end up resorting to joining the ex-iBP guys. As far as I know, the ex-iBP players aren't even contracted to an organization yet, so Friberg can just go play with them until something better comes along.

They'd still have to pay his salary, which i would guess is quite a lot, if they kept him.

Another, a bit more theoretical explanation would be the law. In civilized countries, you cant imprison people just by paying salary. They had a contract about playing CSGO professionally and after benching, NiP couldnt fullfil their part. They cant keep him benched indefinitely. if he wanted to leave, law would be on Friberg's side.

He would be contracted to the organisation, not playing for the team. Just like when Pogba is on the bench because he's gash.

"After talking with NiP, they have agreed to release me from my contract and put me out as a free agent for the coming season." He still had contract with NiP. He got benched yet he wanted to play again. So he asked NiP's management to release him and let him play for another team. NiP still respects him as a long-time player at NiP, keeping him in contract until friberg himself asked them not to.
2017-07-31 17:10

Because he's been in the org for so long and has done so much for NiP. That made NiP decide to show the respect and courtesy of letting him go now in the offseason so he can pick and choose his own destination. It's called being respectful and showing gratitude. If they trade/sell him he won't be allowed to choose from every option available for him. It's a nice move from NiP.

Only not to Valve-sponsored events, one of which is Major. If another platforms take a move similar to ESL, which unbans the matchfixing players, there is still a chance that they still can do another tournaments.

actually friberg will be the perfect replacement for k1o in Faze.. friberg is a very smart player. NiP should actually get rid of get_right instead of friberg. if you watched every NiP match and paid attention then you will understand why I said this. there was a reason why he won the MVP of one cologne as well. trust me, you need to get someone like friberg to be on your team. he will make sure to at least kill 1 or 2 enemies before he die.

I just wanted him out of NiP. He can still be part of a really good team, as far as it is not NiP. Good luck Friberry

They should release Chris GeT_RiGhT Alesund. He's very emotional, psychic instable and as bad as possible as a IGL. And in general he is a bad ghost of NiP. Sorry, I like him, but this is true. Friberg is a good aimer with intelligence of a jellyfish on the other hand. I like Fri as I've also jellyfish CS:GO sense, but wiith jellyfish aim :) Or worse. :P

For the people saying that they released him for free because no other team wants to buy him. He has done so much for NIP, beyond loyal. And he is friends with the people who work and run the org so they showed him respect back most likely, and decided to release him. Good luck Mr Friberg
