DreamHack release Malmö schedule

The full schedule and format for the first big event after the off-season, DreamHack Masters Malmö, taking place from August 30-September 3, was released by the organizers.

All 16 teams of DreamHack Masters Malmö have already been determined, with 12 receiving direct invites for the $250,000 tournament, including the current top five according to our ranking - SK, Astralis, FaZe, Gambit, and G2.

The remaining four teams came from qualifiers in Asia and Oceania (BOOT-d[S]), Europe (Envy and MOUZ), and North America (Renegades).

Natus Vincere and FaZe will be among the debuting teams in Malmö

While the groups haven't been revealed yet, DreamHack released the full schedule of the five-day event taking place in Malmö, which will begin with GSL groups of four, followed by a best-of-three, single-elimination bracket.

ah, i know, i mean imo its not fair at all, if u win 2-0 fast ok, but if you go 16-14, 14-16, 16-14 you're going to have a decrease of performance and it can affect the final result

NiP actually went 16-14, 16-19 and 16-10 so yeah, not impossible for the second finalist to win the whole thing

looks pretty good tbh I'm glad you need to win a BO3 to get into the playoffs imo it's better than the loser getting to play a BO3, but that's just me schedule wise the 2 options are mutually exclusive, I think // tbh it looks better than the major with its stupid swiss system. all the top teams are there, too.

Dreamhack need to change the Semis and Finals schedule, in upcoming dreamhack events. Both on the same day will be hectic for some teams and Finals should be a Bo5, enough of this bo3.
