Liquid invited to ESL One New York

The organizers of the event have announced that Liquid received the sixth and final invitation spot at ESL One New York.

After revealing that FaZe, Natus Vincere, SK, Virtus.pro, and Astralis would be competing in New York in the $250,000 competition, ESL have now unveiled the team that secured the last invite spot: Liquid.

The North American squad, who are currently ranked eleventh in the team ranking, have recently finished 5-6th at ECS Season 3 Finals, failed to qualify for the PGL Major Krakow by finishing 9-11th at the Main Qualifier, and placed 5-8th at ESL One Cologne 2017.

Liquid will return to New York

Josh "⁠jdm64⁠" Marzano & company will make their return to New York where they will be facing seven other teams from September 14-17 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Last year, Liquid placed 3-4th at ESL One New York.

The last two teams will be determined in the open and closed qualifiers taking place in Europe and North America. Below is the current team list:

Liquid is a good team tho, can compete on equal terms with any team, except by 2 or 3 top teams. They are probably the best NA team, despite C9 having more individual skills, Liquid has a better system to rely on.
