With a 2-0 win over HellRaisers, Space Soldiers have secured a spot at DreamHack Open Montreal, taking place from September 8-10.

The European qualifying process for DreamHack Open Montreal began with an open qualifier, which yielded eight of the closed qualifier teams, joined by eight sides invited by the organizers.

One spot at the $100,000 event was up for grabs in the second stage. The closed part was played entirely in best-of-three series, beginning with the quarter-finals, where FlipSid3 dropped out due to technical issues and Red Reserve forfeited their match with hatersg0nnahate because of a clash with the ELEAGUE Premier qualifier.

XANTARES powered Space Soldiers to a spot in Montreal

Two of the main favorites, HellRaisers and Space Soldiers, made it all the way to the grand final. The Turkish squad clinched their pick, Cache, without breaking a sweat and went on to edge Kyrylo "⁠ANGE1⁠" Karasiow's new squad on Overpass 16-13 much thanks to an in-form Ismailcan "⁠XANTARES⁠" Dörtkardeş.
