SK to playoffs over Cloud9 in Malmö

SK have advanced to the playoffs at DreamHack Masters Malmö after beating Cloud9 2-0 (16-13 on Train and 16-9 on Cobblestone).

SK and Cloud9 met in a best-of-three series to decide who would be the second team to advance to the playoffs in Group A after North. Train was the first map of the series and Cloud9 started on the CT-side.

Epitacio "TACO" de Melo showed up with three opening kills in the pistol round to get his T-sided team the first round of the map. Jake "Stewie2K" Yip responded with three Deagle kills in the second round and Cloud9 tied the game at 1-1.

Off they go to the playoffs

When the score was 4-4, Tarik "tarik" Celik picked up a quad kill to take the lead and Cloud9 proceeded to win the half with a 9-6 scoreline. Cloud9's momentum carried over to the second half as they won the first four rounds to lead 13-6.

However, from there on, SK's defense was unyielding and they won ten rounds in a row to win 16-13. In the last nine rounds of the map, Cloud9 couldn't get more than two kills per round and didn't even come close to troubling SK.

Cloud9 exit the tournament

On Cobblestone—the second map of the series—Cloud9 picked up the pistol round with William "RUSH" Wierzba's triple kill and led 3-0 following a couple of anti-eco round victories. SK then won the first weapon round and started a nine round streak (9-3). SK had a 10-5 lead at halftime.

Fernando "fer" Alvarenga secured his CT-sided team the second half pistol round with a quad kill but Cloud9 won the following round with a force buy. After the North Americans won two more rounds, SK answered with two of their own]. Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's 1vs1 clutch against RUSH, which made the score 14-9, was the breaking point of the game and SK went on to win the map 16-9, and the series 2-0, advancing to the playoffs in Malmö.

turok plays the position that autimatic was and autimatic is forced to play nothing's position and he can't get much action and his aim sucks. So yeah, they fucked one of their best players. Expecting -tim and -ska in the next year thanks to tarik and rush lmao

Cloud9 is the most braindead team in the history of CSGO. By far, that's what happens when you get 5 braindead aimers who have 0 gamesense. Fuck me, this was incredibly horrible to watch.

I didn't bet (also I don't like c9 at all). But I did lose something: 2 hours of my life 50.000 braincells Because having Braindead9 in this tournament is both a wasted spot and a disgrace to the high-tier of a tourney. It's disrespectful to the viewers.

Exactly, if I have no money then how would I bet? And If I hadn't bet then how would I lose money? And if I hadn't lost money then why would you stand here with your retarded brain telling me not to lose my money on bets? Here's a hint: either way you are retarded, have a nice day :)
