After SK secured a place in the DreamHack Masters Malmö playoffs, we talked to Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo about their surprising loss to North and their victory over Jake "Stewie2K" Yip's Cloud9.

Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo's team started their run in Sweden with a confident win over BOOT-d[S], moving on to the second-day match against North. In the series that decided the winner of group A, SK took the first map, Cobblestone, but couldn't close it out on Train or Inferno, losing the match 2-1. The Brazilians bounced back today, however, taking down Cloud9 to eliminate them from the event.

To hear his thoughts on the event so far and to learn about how his team has been feeling after the break, we had a chat with FalleN in the Malmö Arena.

Man, use some logic, SK Won 5/7 of the last tournaments. Including big ones like Cologne. They r not overrated, they r good. But its not just them in the scene, so, they cant won ever. Stop baiting.

Every reasonable br has to defend FalleN. If not for him, we should not have any good teams. When he is not in his best in game, it's ok to question the PLAYER. But never the person/professional. Cogu for example is the first brazilian legend, but he did nothing for our scene as a whole. FalleN did and keep doing every day. I don't care if it's only for money, it is healthy for our scene. So I repeat: can't always defend the player, but the professional.

I agree with you, but nobody does! Every single person alive can make huge mistakes, even if doing something good. Things go wrong sometimes. When someone like him that has done so much for us do something wrong, this mistake is amplified by hundreds. Should we "vehemently defend" him or anyone? No. But neither nobody should attack him like savages for a mistake. It's all about balance!
