C8 launch televised tournament in France
The private television channel, C8, owned by Canal+, will be launching a ~$24,000 tournament which will be broadcasted nationally in France.
The Esports European League will feature six teams, five French and one Danish, fighting for the lion's share of a ~$24,000 prize pool. Because of the PEGI 18 rating, the matches will be late at night, but it will be on a channel accessible to the general public, unlike ELEAGUE which was only available on SFR Sport which requires a subscription.

Five teams from the French "subtop" will be part of the Esports European League, including EnVyUs Academy, the ex-MeMyself&I team now playing under Ionic and the famed aAa organization which is now back after picking up Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut & co. Joining the French teams will be North Academy, the only non-French squad in the lineup.
Starting on September 24, the league will run for ten weeks and matches will be aired at night between Sunday and Monday, with matches kicking off at 00:30 . There are about ten seats available for fans wanting to attend the filming, which starts on September 15, in Gennevilliers, France, just North of Paris.
