FaZe crush Astralis in New York, to semis

FaZe have booked their spot in the ESL One New York semi-finals after defeating Astralis 16-6 on Inferno.

FaZe began Group B winners' match on the right foot, winning the Terrorist pistol and the following three rounds. Astralis then picked up their first round with pistols, but they could not capitalize on that.

With the Danish lineup unable to contain the opposing offense, the scoreline bloomed to a 9-1 advantage for FaZe. The Danes would be able to win just two more rounds until half-time, as FaZe took a commanding 12-3 lead.

karrigan bested his old team once again

Astralis then found a lifeline as they picked up the pistol round and the following anti-ecos. However, when FaZe had money to work with, the momentum swung back in their favour as they took four rounds without response to seal a comfortable 16-6 success.

I was rooting for them when they first formed as Kinguin. Only rain left from that original lineup but I still like them. Actually more so now since I like Karrigan and NiKo. When they first formed in 2015 I was wishing they would get NiKo. Took a while before they did but I was happy when it finally happened.

As Boris said. Kinguin>G2>FaZe They weren't Kinguin very long though. I think only like 2-3 months (maybe less) and then were G2 for a while.

Kinguin and G2 were way too poor to justify buying out NiKo's contract with mousesports at the time. Kinguin has tons of money but they didn't really invest that much into the CS team. He wasn't really good enough to justify it at the time either considering his retarded high buyout, he became a lot more valuable in 2016 which probably led to karrigan wanting to pick him up after the atlanta major.

Sometimes strats and mindset are more important than stats... But fuck you can't deny that the stars will do the trick. Faze is a powerhouse. I think that they could get a better igl but I don't know karrigan fits well because he is just between good player and good strats.

They are for sure a very good team. I hope they will forma good base of strats now and I will for sure see them as top2. Karrigan is fine since he has just taken a lot of new positions, he will for sure be lacking in stats. :) Actually nice to see a well mannered post on HLTV, cheers!

After having numbers advantage round 1-0 they dont over peek b site, that was easy for astralis to equal the map early game. instead of rushing tru smoke and forcing 1v1. 2. gun round a gain numbers advantage to astralis, bomb isn't planted yet, some one force a duel when he was hiding apts waiting the plant. rip ma moNeyyyy

FaZe are currently the team with the most raw firepower They basically have 4 players that can each carry rounds and do 3k/4k when/if needed... Once they get some teamplay and strats, or when 3+ of their players are "ON" they will basically be unplayable
