Heroic beat dignitas in three maps for a spot in ECS Season 4

Heroic, after beating dignitas 3-0 in a best-of-five match, will be playing ECS Season 4. Heroic won Nuke, 16-7, Mirage, 16-10, and Inferno, 16-13.

The match started on Nuke, and it was HEROIC who were quick out of the gate, starting the terrorist side with a very large seven round lead before the freshly announced lineup of Dignitas was able to get a round of their own on the board. A particularly on-fire Jakob "JUGi" Hansen led his team on the scoreboard going into the half, which his side won 11-4.

The second half started with HEROIC once again winning the pistol round. The Danish-Swedish side then won four rounds in a row to get a staggering 11 match points. The European combine won a few rounds to fluff up the final score before HEROIC closed it out 16-7.

JUGi had a very strong showing all series long

The second map started the way of the Scandinavian team, as they were able to win the pistol round on the counter-terrorist side on Mirage, following it up with two anti-ecos. This time around Dignitas were able to get on the board soon, winning the first gun round after Asger "AcilioN" Larsen was able to get two entries with his AK before a quick bomb plant.

HEROIC kept their lead throughout the first half, not allowing Dignitas to hold the reins of the map at any point, although just slightly, as they ended it 8-7. The second pistol round of the map went the way of HEROIC, as JUGi clutched out a 1vs1 after-plant situation getting himself three kills in the round.

Despite losing the second round against a pistol buy, HEROIC were able to win a force-up of their own to stay on track to win the second map of the series. The Nordic team chained several rounds in a row, and every time Dignitas won a round, HEROIC answered resetting their economy on their way to a 16-10 map win.

After losing three straight maps to Heroic, dignitas will have to go back to the drawing board

Once again, HEROIC started winning the pistol round, this time on Inferno’s terrorist side. They weren’t able to get a lead, however, as Dignitas won the second round and quickly took a 3-1 lead. As the map developed, though, HEROIC once again took charge. Down 7-5, Dignitas were able to win a full eco, getting them back in the half, which they barely lost, 7-8, as JUGi clutched out the last round before the switch.

The second half started with Dignitas taking the first pistol round of the match, tying it 8-8. After winning the anti-ecos, Dignitas and HEROIC traded rounds, but the rest of the match went the way of the Danish-Swedish side, as HEROIC ran away racking round after round on the CT side, giving up only two final rounds before closing it 16-13, for a clean 3-0 win.

Their's currently a Danish Documentary going on, called "Gamerne" (The Gamers), where they in 6 episode follows Es3tag, Valde, Device, NaToSaphiX & mimimicheater. Although the episodes were recorded back around Copenhagen Games (so April/May), one of the main reasons Valde left Heroic was because he couldn't be in a team, where he could not express is feelings about things, because players like NiKo and JuGi couldn't handle the criticism and they were very much 'mood-players'.

The producers are Danish Radio, who get their funding throughout involuntarily licens, why they only produce for the purpose to educate/update/entertain the Danish People, nothing more, nothing less. Because of this you can be 100 % certain that they wont spend as much as 1 DKK on subtitles. Maybe some low-life will put it on YouTube with self-made subtitles on, but if not, no hopes for none-danes Sadly :(
