Tainted Minds have officially confirmed the signing of former Renegades member Yaman "yam" Ergenekon.

Yaman "⁠yam⁠" Ergenekon joins Tainted Minds on a permanent basis after playing for the team the past few weeks as a stand-in, helping the Aussie-Kiwi mixture defeat Chiefs 2-0, trade maps 1-1 with Grayhound in ZEN League Season 2, and a quick two-nil stomp over AVANT in AOC CGPL Spring 2017.

The 28-year-old will step into the shoes of former AWPer Jesse "⁠InfrequeNt⁠" Barker, who transferred to Athletico about two weeks ago after being benched originally.

yam completes Tainted Minds' starting lineup

A statement from the Australian veteran was given to HLTV.org on his move:

"I am really excited to now play for Tainted Minds," yam told HLTV.org. "I know this team has a lot of potential to do well domestically and internationally so it should be a lot of fun moving forward!"

"I would really like for us to qualify for the next Asian Minor (whenever that may be, sometime within the next couple of months I assume) and to play there against Renegades would be awesome."

"During my time off after stepping down from Renegeades, I had a bit of an extended break. Taking a big break away from Counter-Strike allowed me to spend a lot of the time on vacation and it was a much needed break and time away for me. I am now ready to get back into the swing of things and go harder than ever."

yam is an underrated player. had a lot of potential and never could consistently use it in rng. imo id rather he go to NA and get some experience in a solid tier 2 team like misfits or clg but maybe he can do something in twisted minds

He didn't flop. He just wasn't up to the same standard as the t1 NA AWPers and they're the ones that attract the most viewership so more people notice his underwhelming performance against great AWPers compared to the good ones he puts up against the NA average.

ez top 1 oce roster if this was the 2015 OCE cs scene. Still top 5, Kings and probably even grayhounds>TM. Hats,liazz,sico,emag,grat,dexter and erkast are just better players (most are younger as well,these teams will shuffle before 2018 most likely anyway).

Every season there's a time for a player to go. Infrequent was a good awper but still not much teams know how CSGO should be played when it comes to managing their banks. The sad truth as of 2017.
