EPICENTER confirms TyLoo Wildcard invite

Epic Esports Events has confirmed that TyLoo have been invited to compete in the EPICENTER Wildcard qualifier.

The Chinese giants join Liquid, FaZe and Vega Squadron, who all managed to secure spots in the wildcard stage through regional qualifiers.

These four teams will face off on October 23 in a single-elimination, best-of-three bracket, with the top two teams progressing to EPICENTER's main competition, which will have $500,000 on offer.

TyLoo will take part in the EPICENTER Wildcard qualifier before attending the Minor

This will be TYLOO's first offline competition since signing Vladyslav "⁠bondik⁠" Nechyporchuk on a short-term loan from HellRaisers. The Ukrainian player will fill in for the Chinese team at EPICENTER, the Asia Minor and SL i-League Invitational Shanghai.

The following four teams will take part in EPICENTER's Wildcard qualifier:

FaZe	Liquid
TYLOO	Vega Squadron

It would be awful if Liquid got placed against FaZe, as they are the top two teams in the wildcard. IMO it should be double elimination Bo3, that way if vega gets placed against Tyloo, one doesn't automatically make it through to Epicenter.

It's just fate with Team Liquid. Every time they go to a big event they get put again some of the best teams in the world. Whether it be Astralis and SK at Eleague, or Astralis in groups then SK in semis at ESL One NY. Now its probably going to be against FaZe in a SINGLE ELIMINATION event! Where two top 6 teams could match up, and two teams nowhere near their level could match up. Epicenter has some of the best team sin the world. It's like a miniature major, and it wouldn't make any sense to have vega or Tyloo there. (venting a little bit here)

Because it will be a shit tournament without good Counter-Strike. The last good CS I saw out of VP was at DH Masters Las Vegas. So for me, it doesn't matter whether or not it is for viewers and sponsors - it still kills the purpose of a tournament. Unless somehow VP has found out how to play CS again.
