EU Minor closed qualifier teams determined

All 16 teams taking part in the Europe Minor closed qualifier have now been determined after the open qualifier came to a close earlier today.

The open qualifier for the EU Minor took place over the last two days, with 512 teams fighting for eight spots in the closed qualifier, where eight invited teams had been waiting.

The entire qualifier was filled with issues, beginning with a severe delay ahead of the first round that caused the schedule to be altered, with the third round moved to day two.

On top of countless no-shows that resulted in forfeits, a number of teams were disqualified for cheating. CEVO banned one of OPTIMISTIC's players during the match against KPI, Daniel-Cătălin "⁠Ciocardau⁠" Purice when Invictus Aquilas were about to defeat Dignitas in the round of 32, and PlanetenOG's Aleksej "⁠sodaH⁠" Aristarhov during the deciding match against LPSP.

Some of the previous matches were then replayed, causing more delays to the qualifier that ended up running considerably longer than anticipated, with the last match between Binary Dragons and LPSP played earlier today.

Here are the teams that made it to the closed qualifier by reaching the top eight:

They lost 16-8 to dig, which by all means is not good, but with actually properly done seeding (3rd best ranked team in open i think, seeded 125th) they could have easily made it to the closed qualifier, they're easily better than someone like team5

Yeah it is dude .. There is a timetable at cevo .. day1 (15.10) R1 18:00 R2 19:15 R3 20:30 day 2 (16.10) r4 18:00 r5 19:15 And liquidpedia has the same timetable so .. I hope this is the true plan .. So if u had so!e other inflr so why u dont put it here ?

You are right about swiss isnt random. But come on, its minor quali. Only NIP, Envy and Optic are outstanding. Rest of teams are +/- equal + 18:00 its imo too late to start closed quali with swiss format
