Groups for CIS Minor revealed

The draw for the group stage of the CIS Minor has taken place, with the participating teams having been placed into two groups, HLTV.org has learned.

Hosted by PGL at its Bucharest studio from October 26-29, the CIS Minor will feature eight teams - two invited and six qualified -, who will duke it out for two spots at the Main Qualifier for ELEAGUE Major: Boston.

Group A features Spirit, the second-highest ranked team of the tournament, who are joined by Nemiga, pro100 and NOTBAD. Group B is headlined by AVANGAR, who are currently ranked 35th in the world, with Tengri, Quantum Bellator Fire and FORZE rounding out the group.

Spirit will take on NOTBAD in the first round

The group stage will feature a double-elimination bracket, with the elimination and the decider matches being played in a best-of-three format. The top two teams from each group will then progress to the playoffs, which are expected to continue to feature a double-elimination system.

CIS is a lot cheaper in regards to pretty much everything so renting probably too. The visas alone for players, coaches, Russian casters etc. combined are probably 15000€+ it's dumb as fuck, especially if rather "poor" unknown players have to pay a visa for 200€ or so it's simply dumb there is no argument against it..not to mention because of that some players didnt get visas in time

Then they should take 1 spot from Asia and make SA minor. Because cis have 1 legend and 3 teams in closed quals. Asia have 0, NA have just c9 in closed quals. I think it have to be like this. Eu - 3 Cis -2 Sa - 1 NA - 1 Asia -1 Agree?

Its americas minor There is a sa qual that leads into the minor plus a na one wher br teams can play But all the good cis teams are legends or they will take part at the lan qual So -1 cis +1 eu

I still dont think SA should get a spot since they will not make it to the major.5 or even 6 spot should be given to EU minor and for last 2-3 spot there should be qualifier like all Cis,NA,Asia minor winner teams competing for those spots.

So Asian and NA deserve 2 spots?

2 spots for any of these teams and $30k is criminal. Yes CIS has some major lvl teams: NaVi, F3, Gambit and kinda Vega Squadron but theyre already through. Outside of these 4 everything else is dogshit, same as Asian minor. Asian minor and CIS minor should have 1 spot and EU 4 simple as.

All the good CIS teams already at major and main qual = bad teams in CIS minor Blame all the EU and NA teams for not knocking the good CIS teams back to the minor AVANGAR are also 100% an upset team when they make it to the main qualifier, better than F3 and Vega already and they've only been together a couple months, would be good for them to gain the experience because you will for sure see them in top 30 and at tier 2 lans consistently
