Renegades cruise to Asia Minor playoffs

Renegades have booked their spot in the Asia Minor playoffs after moving past TheMongolz and Kings.

The first day of the Asia Minor, taking place in Seoul, began with the two Australian teams in Group A, Renegades and Kings, confirming their status as favourites as they moved past The MongolZ and MVP PK without breaking a sweat.

The all-Australian winners' match ended up being a complete blowout. Despite winning the opening round of the game, Kings simply could not sustain the pressure, and found themselves trailing their opponents by 11 rounds at the end of the first half.

Renegades lost just eight rounds in the group stage

After switching to the CT side, Renegades completed their demolition job, picking up three rounds straight to seal a comprehensive 16-2 victory that puts them through to the double-elimination playoffs, which will start on Saturday.

The MongolZ are the first team to have been eliminated from the Asia Minor following a 2-1 defeat at the hands of MVP PK, who have a shot at revenge against Kings in the group's decider match.

A while ago the chinks were pretty good but nowadays it seems like the only chink who will put up a fight are Flash.

Call me ignorant but imo this TyLoo line up will be all aim no brain. BnTeT can speak English I remember from an interview and so can bondik but I'm not sure about the other three. TyLoo brought a translator with their old line up so who knows. My point is, while they may be able to do basic executes and callouts I don't think they will be in perfect sync with each other. Trading frags might be a problem and just communicating little details and timing might be a problem when they go for retakes. I'm not saying that they aren't smart players, I'm just saying that I don't think they will play off of each other as well as most teams. Bondik said himself that communication is a big issue and when they verse a team like Renegades or Flash who are native speakers of their language I think it will really show. Maybe raw firepower will carry them to the playoffs but I don't believe it. These are just my speculations so please don't jump on my ass if I'm wrong because I very well might be. I will watch the match vs TM and see how they perform.

apart from rng, flash is the only real threat for tyloo. I hope these two teams put up a great fight against each other cos they kinda have bad blood. I just think even with their issues, apart from renegades, tyloo is the only other team that can even put up a fight against the teams that will be in the major qual. communication can be an issue, but with their individual skill they really should be fine.
