$30.000 for ESWC Cheonan Masters

ESWC announced their Cheonan Masters last month – It has now been announced that, there will $30.000 for Counter-Strike 1.6 and top 3 will receive autoberths for the ESWC 2009 Grand Final.

ESWC Cheonan Masters is to take place from May 2nd to May 5th at the 2009 Cheonan International e-Sports Culture Festival. The Culture Festival will be held at the Yu Gwanun Gymnasium and Cheonan Sports Complex, in the city of Cheonan, South Korea. The event will see gamers from 15 countries attending 5 tournaments. Our focus will of course be on the Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament.

For Counter-Strike 1.6, there will be a total prize purse of $30.000 and for the top 3 finishers, autoberths for the ESWC 2009 Grand Final in Paris, France. The tournament will open slots for 12 international teams, while 4 will be saved for Korean teams, being a 16 team tournament.

Good to see CS 1.6 still going strong even with the recession! :)

Very nice But I think they might announce later a reduction of prices. Ofc after teams have bought the tickets etc.

They need an English commentator instead of a Korean, with everything else and with the stream I'm fine, as long as it is prepared well without too much problems.. :))
