Astralis grab lifeline against EnVyUs; SK overrun TheMongolz
Astralis have given themselves a fighting chance by defeating EnVyUs, while SK Gaming have extended their great start by easing past TheMongolz.
The fourth round of matches in Burbank featured an Astralis side desperately trying to cling onto life after losing their first two matches in the tournament. Things did not start the way they wanted, however, as Envy stormed through the B site in the pistol round thanks to two entry frags from Alexandre "xms" Forté.
Nicolai "device" Reedtz stepped up to the plate with an AWP and inspired Astralis to tie up the game at 4-4, forcing Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer to call a tactical pause to halt the Danes' momentum. Envy came close to winning the following round but ultimately wasted a 4v2 advantage, only to pull off an upset in the next round while on an eco.
That eco win allowed Envy to have enough money in the bank for the rest of the half, but Astralis remained composed and equalised the score at 7-7 before Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom gave his team a narrow lead with a stunning quad kill.

The second half began with Envy securing the pistol round, thanks in part to three quick kills from Cédric "RpK" Guipouy in the banana. Astralis responded on a force-buy, with that round sparking a phenomenal run from the Danes, who brought the scoreline to 13-9.
Envy then kept themselves in the game by securing back-to-back rounds, but Astralis regained control of proceedings and won three rounds straight to lock down the map, 16-11.

Meanwhile, SK picked up a comfortable win over The MongolZ in a match that at first looked like it was going to be a demolition job as the Brazilians cruised to a 9-0 lead on the CT side. The Mongolians' then finally woke up, winning five rounds in a row before SK pulled the curtain on the first half with a 10-5 lead.

The MongolZ opened up the second half by taking the pistol round, but SK replied on a force-buy thanks to a trio of kills from Fernando "fer" Alvarenga. After that, the Brazilians would simply not take their foot off the gas as they would win the next five rounds to take the map, 16-6.
