wizard parts ways with Kings

Travis "wizard" Richardson has announced his departure from Kings via Twitter.

Following mixed results, where Kings finished top four at eXTREMESLAND 2017, failed to make it out of groups at the Asia Minor, alongside a third place finish at the ZEN League Season 2 Finals, caused the Aussies to decide that a change was the best option moving forward.

Travis "⁠wizard⁠" Richardson revealed on TwitLonger that he is no longer a part of the team, due to his "passion and commitment these past 2 months has been unacceptable and unfair" to his teammates.

As a consequence, the Australian-Kiwi mixture will immediately be on the lookout for a new replacement, while wizard plans to resume his university studies next year.

With the Australian playoffs for ESEA MDL right around the corner, Kings are now one-man short following the 21-year-old's removal:

Deoxide and Havoc are the main ones that comes to mind, Don't think Snyper would get back in a team any time soon, I only know the tier 1 Au/Nz players :> Not so much the tier 2/3 young talents

Snyper seems to be a full blown Analyst/caster now like SpunJ so I don't think that's an option. Isn't destiny a free agent? would make sense for Kings to snatch him as he did quite well at Zen League.

They are 1.6 VAC's not csgo, they were used as an excuse by cybergamer to ban him in early days of csgo. He is completely fine to compete in any valve csgo event, him getting gazR's account VAC'd is only a rumour and isn't true afaik.

I don't know any AU player which will be better then chuch [from t2 teams]... So, they [organisation] will find this player from t3 AU teams [for exampe, seadogs]... But it won't be good [IMO]

I'd imagine it might've still happened if he wishes to invest in his uni studies. It would've left the team in a much more desirable situation (so much appealing) considering candidates. And also left wizard a better tone in his departure from the semi-/pro scene for a unknown amount of time. Also a option, not saying that he couldn't have also chosen to stay on the team. :P

This lineup was superb but they failed at extremesland which they should have won, then again at the minor where a lot of people actually expected them to make it through considering they practised so long for so hard and were in great form. Remember they missed cybergamer and got a two event ban just to practice for the Asia minor but then bombed out in groups, was extremely disappointing. Now at ZEN league sure they didn't have their coach but they were still probably the favourites as TM had a stand-in who they might not have had time to practice with and GH still might be adjusting to DickStacy. I imagine it's because of all this that they decided to have a lineup change. Will be interesting to see who will replace him, maybe Destiny?

That's what I am saying but the thing is they were in such good form that a lot of people thought that they would have a real shot at being the runner-up at the minor behind RNG. Of course with the disappointing results it makes sense why Wizard chose to have higher priority over IRL stuff.
