Vega Squadron lift China Top Shenzhen trophy

While AGO came to the grand final from the upper bracket after beating the Chinese teams Flash and TYLOO, both by 2-0 scorelines, Vega Squadron had to prevail in the lower bracket to get there following a 0-2 defeat against Hansel "⁠BnTeT⁠" Ferdinand and co. in their opener.

The series kicked off on Cache, Vega Squadron's map pick, with the Polish side securing a total of seven rounds as Terrorists. In the second half, there was little that the Russians could do to stop AGO, who would lose only three rounds before closing out the first map, 16-11.

As Vega Squadron did not want to throw in the towel, they came into their opponents' map pick, Train, with all guns blazing, grabbing a 12-3 half-time lead. AGO still found a lifeline by reducing the deficit to 11-12, but then Dmytro "⁠jR⁠" Chervak's team immediately found a foothold as Terrorists, and went on to lock down the map 16-12.

It all came down to Inferno, where Vega Squadron started it out on the T-side. After bagging a 10-5 lead by half-time, the Russian squad continued to shut down AGO's strategies, and fairly easily finished things off, 16-6, to claim first place of China Top 2017 Shenzhen.
