Wololos claim Group B top spot at WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals

Wololos have sealed passage to the quarter-final stage of the WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals after locking down the top spot in Group B.

The Spanish mix team, headlined by OpTic member Oscar "⁠mixwell⁠" Cañellas, held Space Soldiers to a 15-15 draw before defeating BIG, Nemiga and Quantum Bellator Fire to finish at the top of their group with 10 points.

The second spot in the group went to Space Soldiers, who surprisingly lost to Quantum Bellator Fire in the final round, wasting the chance to finish at the top of the table - which would have required a victory with a 16-5 scoreline or higher.

Wololos surprised both Space Soldiers and BIG

Johannes "⁠tabseN⁠" Wodarz's 1.53 rating - the third highest of the day - was not enough to lift BIG into the top two places, which means that the PGL Major Krakow quarter-finalist will need to face one of the group runners-up in the promotion stage, scheduled for Saturday.
