Gambit to attend WESG qualifiers with neaLaN

Gambit will attend the WESG 2017 APAC qualifiers with Sanzhar "neaLaN" Ishkakov who will fill in for Mihail "Dosia" Stolyarov.

The 17-year-old Kazakhistani Sanzhar "⁠neaLaN⁠" Iskhakov will be playing with Gambit as the tournament rules allow only one nationality per team, meaning that Mihail "⁠Dosia⁠" Stolyarov was unable to participate in WESG qualifiers with Gambit. Dosia has already qualified for the WESG 2017 World Finals with Russia who placed 9-12th in the Europe & CIS Regional Finals.

neaLaN will be Gambit's fifth for WESG

Gambit will take part in the eight-team Central Asia qualifier which will kick off on December 4. Gambit will need to win that qualifier for a spot at the WESG APAC Regional Finals taking place at the start of 2018.

The APAC Regional Finals will hand out $92,500 in cash prizes and six spots at the WESG World Finals. Gambit will take part in WESG qualifiers with the following lineup:

Abay "⁠HObbit⁠" Khassenov

there should be a kazakhstan qualifier where more teams can attend ... probably on the final lan stage there is just 1 team out of the qualifier allowed to play

On liquidpedia it says there is no Kazakshtan qualifier but central asia qualifier where is Kazakhstan putted with other countries, i tought it will be only team per country but cant find any info on that.

ah okay ... then it should be like the Benelux Qualifier we had in Europe for example ... where teams from the Netherlands, Belgium and Louxembourg could attend ... and this is like a normal open qualifier where different teams from the different countries are allowed to play to earn 1-2 spots on the LAN qualifier for the main event

The European qualifiers had two Danish teams, two Russian teams, two Swedish teams etc. It depends on how many teams are allowed to attend per country which is decided by the tournament organisers. I don't know if Kazakhstan has one or two slots.

Yeah I knew that, thing is Kazakhstan is in same group as Tajikmistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyrstan and I doubt those countries are able to give more than one team, so by that logic I tought Kazaks will only have 1.

probably all 3 kazakh teams will play in quals (Gambit, Tengri, Avangar), thats why no ramz1k, no qikert, no buster.

all 3 will play Central Asia qualifier, winner of which (1 slot) will go to APAC qualifier. So it means, that Central Asia (the most skilled region in APAC) will have only one spot. BTW that is not fair, because Kazakhstan deserves at least 1 slot. They deserve it more than for example, Thailand, Philippines, Turkmenistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea each of them have 1 spot. IMO, Kazakhstan must have 1 spot and Central Asia 1 spot.

Yeah I agree, Kazakhstan deserves own qualifiers more than any of those countries. I mean they will probably win their easly but sucks for other countries wich definetly deserve wesg spot.

I would say, Avangar and even Tengri are much stronger than best teams of all those countries, so it kinda sucks for all teams, that place from 2nd to 8th in Central Asia qualifier, they might be the strongest teams in Asia, but WESG thinks different.

Clone Dosia, have the real one play with Gambit in the Nealan costume and the fake play for Russia. Whoever advances plays with the real Dosia whilst the cloned gets taken out back and is 'taken care of'.
