Seed sign with Sprout

Sprout have announced that they have ventured into Counter-Strike with the signing of the team known as Seed.

The announcement finally brings an end the team's long search for a new home, which began in October after the remaining members of the PENTA squad that had competed at PGL Major Krakow parted ways with the German organisation.

While on the lookout for a new organisation, Seed brought in free agent Denis "⁠denis⁠" Howell and MOUZ backup member Timo "⁠Spiidi⁠" Richter, with whom they attended the ROG Masters EMEA Finals, in Krefeld, placing third-fourth following a defeat to Gambit in the semi-finals, and won the $10,000 MakeMy.bet Championship after beating LDLC in the final.

Seed have joined a new organisation called Sprout

With the offline qualifier for ELEAGUE Major Boston looming, Kevin "⁠kRYSTAL⁠" Amend's team have inked a deal with a new organisation called Sprout, one of the founding members of the eSport-Bund Deutschland (ESBD) the recently-created German esports association.

"I am back in the game - together with my two fellow players Spiidi and kRYSTAL," denis said in a statement. "During my time at mousesports, I was able to learn a lot from the organisation and my teammates.

"Now at Sprout, I want to apply these experiences to my new team and keep on improving. After struggling to find our internal structure, we are now growing together as a team.

We have waited for a long time and are now ready to show the world, who we are. An important tournament is coming up in January 2018, the Major Qualifier. We want to once again get through the Qualifier and play in the Major, that is our goal."

Contacted by HLTV.org, Sprout confirmed that Spiidi was bought out of his contract with MOUZ, who had benched the 22-year-old in April to make way for Robin "⁠ropz⁠" Kool.

The German team, who will make their first appearance for Sprout at 14:00 , in the semi-finals of Legend Series #4, have the following roster:

Nice that they get an org but this is a shadow of the PENTA team. First problem who is supposed to be the two main stars of the team? Spidi and Denis are trash. Krystal is too streaky to be a star awper so Zehn and Innocent? Zehn is too inconsistent and plays too passive and Innocent is a good player doesn't drop under a level but he is still better with the awp that was his main role before but if you give him the awp then Krystal is even more garbage with a rifle. They need a player like Sunny who could explode or even HS who has peeks of form but very big drops as well. I just don't see the star power in the team. They could be an upset team but to be fair I don't give them much chance in the offline Elegue qualifier.

this team has potential if all the players work on the roles and work on their individual skill, however i don't see them making it to the major beating LDLC was an achievement though, judging how well LDLC did in EPL
