Kings part ways with CS:GO roster

Kings have announced the departure of their CS:GO roster, after qualifying for WESG 2017 Asia-Pacific Regional Finals.

Following the removal of Travis "wizard" Richardson a month ago, Kings have not been able to find a replacement, with the Australian-New Zealand mixture finishing 3rd-4th in the Australian division of ESEA MDL Season 26 playoffs, using Dylan "kyoto" Brown as a stand-in.

Due to nationality restrictions for WESG 2017 Australian qualifier, Kings borrowed current Tainted Minds rifler Joshua "INS" Potter and Chiefs member Liam "malta" Schembri to fill in for Simon "Sico" Williams and their opening spot. The mixed squad aced through the qualifier and secured their spot in China, without dropping a single map.

Kings lose CS:GO team

After being a part of the Australian organisation since the formation of the team in late June, the two parties have decided to go their separate ways for 2018.

According to their coach Matt "dayV1D" David, the four players and himself will stick together with the following lineup:

Australia Chris "emagine" Rowlands
Australia Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas
Australia Jordan "Hatz" Bajic
New Zealand Simon "Sico" Williams

United States Matt "dayV1D" David (coach)

Sadly Texta is also banned. Sure, it's something he did as a 14y/o and probably should be disconsidered, but it doesn't depend on me to decide, sadly. Valve should've been analysing each case instead of a general rule for such a delicate matter.

Out of all the scenes to have too many awpers, it seems weird that its AU which is still a developing league.

Aka the players wanted more money, but we decided to rather invest in something promising like a Overwatch Team (Omegalul) and Call of Duty.

The problem with the AU scene is we need to export our players, but they go from being on top of the AU league to tier 3 - 4 in the NA league. And that's only if there's a team willing to buy into it.
