WESG APAC team list finalized

Since our last update, six more teams from the region secured their spot to next month's event: LEOPARD from Iran, Portal from Pakistan, Wolfhound from Turkmenistan, South Korea's MVP PK, Thailand's NSPR, and lastly EMC from the Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macau qualifier.

WESG APAC Finals will send six teams to the global finals

The WESG 2017 Asia-Pacific Regional Finals will take place at Fangyuan Sports Centre in Jiaozhou, Qingdao, China from January 11-14. Besides the aforementioned prize pool, the twenty squads will also clash for the six available spots to the global finals, boasting an additional $1.5 million prize pot.

The prize distribution for the APAC event is as follows:

1. $40,000 + WESG 2017 World Finals spot
2. $20,000 + WESG 2017 World Finals spot
3. $10,000 + WESG 2017 World Finals spot
4. $6,500 + WESG 2017 World Finals spot
5-6. $4,000 + WESG 2017 World Finals spot
5-6. $4,000 + WESG 2017 World Finals spot

On the female side, eight teams will duke it out for a share of the $16,000 prize pot alongside three World Finals Female spots that are up for grabs at the WESG 2017 APAC Regional Finals Female.
