MUTiRiS departs Giants

Christopher "MUTiRiS" Fernandes parted ways with the Spanish team just a couple of months after joining, citing the inability to reach their goals as a reason.

Giants acquired two Portuguese players at the beginning of this season, signing Ricardo "⁠roman⁠" Oliveira and Christopher "⁠MUTiRiS⁠" Fernandes from k1ck in September. The team aimed to be on top of the Spanish scene, but struggled to do so, and currently lags behind the likes of Movistar Riders and x6tence.

MUTiRiS felt that the team couldn't achieve what they set out to do

With the season coming to an end, MUTiRiS decided to part ways with the Spanish team, posting the following statement on his Facebook page:

"Unfortunately, my second adventure in Spain comes to an end. From now on, I'm no longer a Giants player. It was a decision that unfortunately had to be taken. We have not been able to reach the goals that have been set out for the team, so this stage of my career comes to an end. I want to say thanks, however, for all the support that the organisation has given me over these months, and I would also like to give my teammates a huge hug, a thank you to them for the time we have spent over the last few months, despite the results."

With this development, Giants are down to four players:

x6tence was a good team in 1.6 days, now we have Movistar Riders that are going to be in MDL next season, it is not that good but it's a start.

The new Fox team will be some Tier2 team with 3 players already on it for long time. This was confirmed by portuguese CSGO streamer Zorlak. They still haven't announced the new team because there is still one more player to be part of it, yet to be decided. So, 3 players that have been playing together for some time already + Fox + someone (still not decided who)

Could very well be, didn't crossed my mind, really. What is also strange is that Fox all of the sudden began to host twitch stream of woxic (Hellraisers), and woxic hosted him back. This 'strange' friendship among these two is new, so, can it really mean something? Don't know. But, back to topic, I'd like to see Mut playing on a tier2 team and I honestly think he has the potencial to do so.

Honestly he'd fair different in another team. There is still a lot of hope for MUTiRiS, he's far from a terrible player and is actually fairly adaptable for a tier 3 professional.

It is a pretty smart move from MUTiRiS. Maybe he will form a team with Fox and Dennis. Or maybe he will join some Tier 2/3, since he has some problems with his communication in English. Or, maybe, he will return to Portugal.

Mut is really the only one who could join him. It isnt confirmed that they will be a Portuguese only lineup. Mut can maybe try to learn English or pick up some Brazilian/Spanish players. Lowel isnt gonna join with fox because he is already confirmed in G2V
