ELEAGUE confirm Flash replacing TyLoo at Major

ELEAGUE have confirmed on Twitter that Flash will replace TyLoo in the first stage of the Major.

Flash have replaced TYLOO as the next team in line coming from the Asia Minor, following YuLun "⁠Summer⁠" Cai's side's third place at the first offline stage of the current Major cycle.

Over the course of the last few days, reports of TYLOO's withdrawal from the Main Qualifier, or the "New Challengers Stage", came to light, revealing that Luis "⁠peacemaker⁠" Tadeu and the Chinese organization could not come to terms.

The Brazilian coach was TYLOO's only option as a replacement for Hansel "⁠BnTeT⁠" Ferdinand - who was unable to obtain his visa for the United States - as he had been part of the roster as the team's coach at the Asia Minor in October last year.

Flash to take part in the "New Challengers Stage" of the ELEAGUE Major

Due to ELEAGUE's rules that created the aforementioned issue, Flash will attend the Major with the roster they used at the Minor despite having made changes, benching QiFang "⁠Karsa⁠" Su and KunHua "⁠LOVEYY⁠" Bai in favor of WeiJia "⁠INNOPY⁠" Guo and Zhe "⁠Ayeon⁠" Yang.

Flash's roster at the first stage of the Major, set to take place in ELEAGUE's studios in Atlanta from January 12-15, will thus be the following:

YuLun "⁠Summer⁠" Cai
YuanZhang "⁠Attacker⁠" Sheng
Andrew "⁠kaze⁠" Khong
QiFang "⁠Karsa⁠" Su

Hey, nobody complains whenever KT Rolster doesn't make it to Worlds but some bottom tier CIS or Brazilian team makes it. But the end point is: does it really matter? In the end, nobody is going to care when C9 loses, when OpTic loses. And Cloud9 are already qualified, OG isn't. Just fucking deal with the fact that the world isn't entirely ideal for you, holy fuck. Go to Valve and boycott them for a Last Call qualifier if you want to.

How? I just said OpTic and NiP were going to lose at the major anyways, and you get pissed off at me. If C9 doesn't qualify for the major, they already lost in the major circuit. Optic and NiP have great line ups and idk if they deserve to win the major, but they sure as hell deserve to participate and compete in the major. With legend status the 2nd 3rd 4th and so on are not losers.

The idea of good teams not participating at the biggest tournament has been going on for over 5 years with Worlds. If you want everything to change, petition valve to create a system based on circuit points or something.

I would like to see Flash not being ridiculous but i feel like they won't have much of a chance. A bit disappointing that a #75 ranked team plays that qualifier when teams like OpTic or NiP will stay at home.
