AGO win ESEA S26 MDL Global Challenge over Space Soldiers

The grand final best-of-three series at the ESEA Season 26 MDL Global Challenge kicked off on Mirage where Space Soldiers started on the T-side. Engin "⁠MAJ3R⁠" Küpeli's two opening kills in the pistol round gave the first round to the Turkish side who made it 3-0 after winning the anti-ecos.

Although Space Soldiers lost the following three rounds, they kept planting the bomb and damaged AGO's economy (3-3). Ismailcan "⁠XANTARES⁠" Dörtkardeş & company won five rounds in a row to make it 8-3 and finished the half with a 10-5 lead.

AGO came back on both maps to win the championship

AGO won the T-side pistol round to pick up their sixth but they couldn't start a streak as they lost the anti-eco (11-6). After AGO started a comeback with three round victories, Dominik "⁠GruBy⁠" Swiderski clutched a 1vs3 to give his team their tenth round (11-10). The rounds were back-and-forth and the map went to double overtime where AGO won 22-18.

Starting on the CT-side on Train, Space Soldiers won the first three rounds and were about to win the first weapon round but Engin "⁠ngiN⁠" Kor died to fall damage before he could defuse the bomb (3-1). However, the Turkish squad recovered in the following round and made it 4-1.

Space Soldiers were unable to close out the maps

When the score was 7-2, AGO picked up a 3vs5 victory to get their third round but they couldn't start a streak once again as they lost the following round (8-3). Space Soldiers won the first half 11-4.

AGO started their CT-side campaign by winning the pistol round. Just like on the first map, the Poles started a comeback effort, winning the following four rounds to trail 11-9. AGO went ahead and were leading 14-11 when Buğra "⁠Calyx⁠" Arkın clutched a 1vs5 to keep his team in the game (14-12). The Poles, unfazed, won the map 16-12 and the series 2-0, becoming champions at the ESEA Season 26 MDL Global Challenge.
