Immunity attending ESWC Masters

Supposedly the first team to be invited, Team Immunity announced on their website, that they have been invited to play at the ESWC Cheonan Masters.

ESWC Cheonan Masters is to take place in Cheonan, South Korea on the 2-5th of May. The ESWC committee earlier announced the opening for teams to apply, seeing several top teams apply right away. The first confirmed team to participate turns out to be the Australian Team Immunity. The team already secured their second international appearance earlier this year, as they won KODE5 Australia and will make it to KODE5 Global Finals.

But before going to KODE5 Global Finals, the team will travel to Cheonan in South Korea, to play at the ESWC Masters event. Twelve international teams will be able to compete, while four Korean teams will be invited too.  So far, only Team Immunity has been confirmed.

Team Immunity will be looking at their second international appearance, as they had their debut last year at World Cyber Games in Cologne, Germany. The team strives to do better, as they went out to GamePlay in the first round of the playoffs. On the team’s website, it’s said that the team is considering a one-week bootcamp prior to the event. The team will furthermore go directly from Cheonan to Moscow, to participate at the KODE5 Global Finals.

Team Immunity consist of:

Australia Benjamin "benoR" O'Reilly
Australia Fergus "ferg" Stephenson
Australia Gareth "gazR" Lynn
Australia Mark "kram" Pearce
Australia Mark "destiny" Kagan

Stay tuned for more confirmed participants for ESWC Cheonan Masters.

They'll be in world's top 8 CS teams if they attend more international events this year. The team's chemistry is now almost GODLIKE... <3 those diceVIP coverage. And now let's do the Melbourne Shuffle.. :P

why is that a fact? They have great players, teams have made it as underdogs before. I'm not saying that they will, but never disclose a possibility

Well i'm saying this since they're now the strongest contender in Oceania region and if this consistency remains for a longer time, i'm sure they'll be there. This is just their second appearance in a major international events. They now just need the same exposure level like MiBr and WeMadeFox. We'll just have to see what surprises in cheonan that this team has to offer before their russian showdown. :)

Eat the fact, that they made it to the playoffs at WCG (top16) and played a very good match against GamePlay, ending up losing 1:2.

I don't know the skill level of the players in the team, but from what I've heard they have amazing teamplay so if they keep practicing well they might be able to do some upsets.
