Nations ranking for ENC 2009

ESL announced the return of European Nations Championship in 2009, but with a big reduction in prize money.
Today ESL announces the nations ranking for ENC 2009, deciding who is in directly for the main round and who will have to qualify. Countries have been receiving points for their performance in the last seasons, based on 2006, 2007 and 2008 results; the ranking decides which six teams qualify directly for the main round.
A total of twenty-seven teams have been ranked, hence to the ones to receive points. Teams ranked at the bottom of the rankings qualify for Qualification Round 1, which will begin on the 20th of April. Moving up the list, teams next in line have qualified for Qualification Round 2, while the last series of teams below the top six qualify for Qualification Round 3. Check out the ranking here.
Top six are countries doing well in ENC for the past three seasons. Last year’s winner Sweden, including Denmark, Germany, Poland, Norway and Spain, are all qualified for the Main Round of ENC 2009.
