Kinguin: "No intention to sell any players"

Team Kinguin COO Giovanni Varriale has guaranteed that the organisation has no plans to sell any of its players at this moment.

Earlier on Thursday, a report from DBLTAP suggested that Virtus.pro were lining up a move for Kinguin's Michał "⁠MICHU⁠" Müller as a replacement for Wiktor "⁠TaZ⁠" Wojtas, who is believed to have been given his marching orders by the team.

The 21-year-old is widely regarded as one of Poland's finest talents, with a career that stretches back to 2014. He filled in for Virtus.pro on two occasions in 2015, at Gfinity Spring Masters I and at IEM San Jose.

Contacted by HLTV.org, Kinguin's Giovanni Varriale stressed that the organisation is not looking to sell at this time. This could mean that Virtus.pro will have to meet the player's valuation, reported to be in the region of $300,000, for a deal to come through.

"It is hard to comment on something we know from 'internet rumours'," the Kinguin chief told HLTV.org.

"All we can say right now is that we are happy with the current team setup and we have no intention to sell any of our players."

Kinguin made headlines at the start of the month by replacing Grzegorz "⁠SZPERO⁠" Dziamałek and Kacper "⁠kaper⁠" Słoma with two Portuguese veterans - Ricardo "⁠fox⁠" Pacheco and Christopher "⁠MUTiRiS⁠" Fernandes.

MICHU has been part of Kinguin since June 2016, when the gaming marketplace company secured the services of the lineup known as Dobry&Gaming. The team's biggest achievement came at the start of 2017, when they placed second at the WESG Finals, taking home $400,000.

100% agree. Most of the VP players doesn't even know 10% of semi pros in Poland. All the players they know are players from AGO, Kinguin, Pride, and maybe now Venatores. Byali is consul in PolishProLeague ( faceit PPL), and he is playing it a lot, so is the only one that could know what player is good, and who to choose for tryouts.

Unfortunately I don't see any real up and coming AWP talent anywhere NA, EU or otherwise. I don't think it's the AWPers either. If you are going to really try to be a pro in this game you are crazy not to master the AK-47 before you do anything. AWP has been nerfed into the ground since 1.6. That unfortunately leaves a situation where it's only super useful on CT and the "talent" is already playing. I mean Skadoodle for example is literally a top ten AWPer in the world. Why?
