Intel Challenge Katowice 2018 announced

The female tournament held alongside IEM Katowice will return once again, with eight teams set to compete for a $50,000 prize pool this year.

The fourth edition of the Intel Challenge Katowice 2018 will be held during the IEM EXPO and will take place on February 23-24—a week before the IEM Katowice CS:GO tournament.

Eight female teams will compete at the event, with three already receiving invites: RES, Dignitas fe and ARES fe.

Intel Challenge will the first event zAAz and co. will attend as RES

The remaining five slots will be filled out through qualifiers, with two being reserved for Europe, while Asia, North America and Brazil each have one spot.

Intel Challenge Katowice 2018's team list will, therefore, look like this:

Not really, boi. This is how every game run. Every team is able to play a North America or an EU qualifier, If the team is located in. So, If you want to play a Br qualifier, you need to be here(unfortunaly).

Actually there was a restriction about it before about just players residing in Brazil could play it, but they changed the rules some minutes after it was announced. It is not every tournament that works like you said, ESEA Brazil for example is not restricted just to Brazilians, it is called Brazil because of its servers being located here..

Women should just start to play with men. They would struggle in the beggining ofc, but in the long term we would see a lot of women in the scene and it would be way more interesting. Cause let's be honest, few people care about the female scene. It's been like this since 10+ years, 1.6 times

Most of them don't even practice against men to begin with, at least decent men's team. That's why they never really improve. If they put a lot of effort into the game and start doing this they'll eventually start to appear in the tier 3 scene. Don't see why they can't

No one will sign female players. That's why. And they should put a lot of effort now. Not when everything is plated in front of them.

I'm not saying we should just mix them now. They should just start practicing more against men, watch their demos and really look up to them. I say this because I know a lot of women from the brazilian scene, there's a big rivalry between them, they play against each other a lot, but they never seem to look up for teams like SK, G2, Na'Vi and FaZe, who are the big deal if you want to improve. I mean you should watch their demos, the player's POVs so you can really improve. They don't practice against male teams as much as they do with females as well. It's not impossible for them, they just don't seem to try hard enough, they don't look up for these teams

Yea. If a particular person doesnt have that drive of passion then no one can do about it. I agree that they've potential. But they need to get their first. And they're pros themselves. They can practice with whoever they want. But they should want first. That's it.
