rain: "I want to play Cloud9 in front of their home crowd"
We talked to Håvard "rain" Nygaard following FaZe's comfortable victory over Natus Vincere, which put the European mixture in the grand final of the ELEAGUE Major.
FaZe passed their second series with flying colors, defeating Natus Vincere 16-9 on Inferno despite a close first half and 16-7 on Mirage to make it to the grand final in Boston.

We then grabbed Håvard "rain" Nygaard for an interview and asked him about Na`Vi's small comeback in the first half and the comfortable Mirage, as well as the grand final in which they'll meet the winner of Cloud9 and SK tomorrow.
It seemed like the veto went pretty much expectedly, were Inferno, Mirage, and Train what you were ready for?
I haven't discussed the veto with anyone before the game, so I just stood there and watched karrigan veto and I was happy with the result.
Inferno ended up being quite a comfortable map, although during the first half Na`Vi came back into it with six rounds in a row, can you tell me what happened in the first couple of rounds you lost and how the rest of the half went?
I think that at the start we had good reads on what they were doing, we positioned ourselves well, we did what we were supposed to do. I think when they started to come back, we didn't adapt and even though sometimes we tried, it just didn't work out. The main reason they managed to do that small comeback was because we didn't adapt to what they were doing, they just kept taking mid control and just kept walking into A, and we couldn't stop it.
Did you feel like you took your foot off the pedal in the first rounds that you lost, especially that first retake on A which looked chaotic and miscommunicated?
After our good start, we started to have a bit of a chaotic TeamSpeak, we were screaming a little bit too much and we got too excited. We also got too relaxed as well, we didn't take it as seriously as we did in the first part, because we just thought it was so easy. So I think that was the main reason that happened.
Did Mirage feel as comfortable as it looked from the outside?
Yeah, Mirage felt really good, they won both pistols, two forcebuys and they got seven rounds. So I think karrigan did some really good calls on the T side.
In the final you'll meet either Cloud9 or SK, one being a really good matchup historically and one really not, would you rather meet SK and finally get over that hump?
Of course we'd like to face SK, but I'd also like to face them with their full roster. I feel like even if we beat them now, a lot of people are going to come and say 'you're still not better than them, because you only beat them with a stand-in.' So I want to play Cloud9 in front of their home crowd, I think it's going to be a lot of fun, a lot of noise - or it's going to be like in Oakland and New York where we faced them and it was completely quiet. It would be fun to face SK, but I would rather play C9 this time.
So far Cloud9 have been very dominant aside from the first two rounds of groups, what do you make of them?
I think their players are really good, I just think that they need to work better together. I know that the 0-2 they started with is not what they can show, I know they are a lot better than that and they proved it now, so I have high hopes for them.
