The Majors: Ideas for the future
With the ELEAGUE Major in Boston behind us, we asked different members of the community to share their thoughts on what could be done so future Majors remain the most prestigious events of the circuit.
After three long weeks in Atlanta and Boston, the first tournament of the new year, and the first Major of the two this year, is behind us. Looking back, the ELEAGUE Major left us several great memories including one of the most memorable finals in the history of the Majors, the crowning of the first North American team as Major champions, and the story of Quantum Bellator Fire, a rag-tag CIS team that went from being the tournament underdogs to finishing top 8.

Looking towards the future, we asked several community members to give their input on how Valve's flagship tournament can remain the game's crown jewel. Players Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt, Finn "karrigan" Andersen, and Martin "STYKO" Styk, as well as coach Wilton "zews" Prado and broadcast talent Anders "Anders" Blume, Jason "moses" O'Toole, and Janko "YNk" Paunović give their thoughts on CS:GO's biggest events of the year.
Some of the topics discussed in the video are the Minors, 24-team Majors, sticker money and new ways to fund the prize pool, tournament formats, and coaching, among others. Watch the video below:
