Bets.net Masters with $100,000 prize pool, offline finals in Kiev

Bets.net has announced its own series of tournaments, the first of which will culminate with a $100,000 event in Kiev.

The Bets.net Masters will be held at the Kiev Cybersport Arena, where eight teams, four qualified and four invited, will compete for the lion's share of a $100,000 prize pool, with the winning side taking home $50,000.

The qualifying process will begin with a Swiss stage called Challenger Series: Draft, which will see 32 teams split into two sub-regions: Europe and CIS. In the European sub-region, all 16 teams will be invited, while in the CIS sub-region, 13 invited sides will be joined by the top three teams from the previous StarLadder Amateur Series season.

The Kiev Cybersport Arena will host the first Bets.net Masters

The top 16 teams (eight per sub-region) from the Draft stage will move on to the next stage, named Challenger Series: Group, joining eight invited sides. The competing teams will once again be split into two sub-regions, but this time they will face off in a round-robin stage.

Following the end of this stage, the top four teams per sub-region will progress to a single-elimination, best-of-three bracket called Challenger Series: Final, with $10,000 and four spots at the Masters event at stake. The prize distribution for this stage looks as follows:

1. $2,000 + spot at Bets.net Masters
2. $1,500 + spot at Bets.net Masters
3-4. $1,250 + spot at Bets.net Masters
5-8. $1,000

The dates for the Bets.net Masters event have not yet been announced. The $100,000 prize pool will be distributed as follows:

1. $50,000
2. $20,000
3. $15,000
4. $7,000
5-6. $2,500
7-8. $1,500

This is a random question. But how bad is the fighting in ukraine still? Are you scared of russians?

Wow, this came completely out of nowhere :D Well, if by “fighting” you mean the war on the east, then it’s still on and going, maybe not as intensively as in 2014, but the Minsk agreement fixed, well, pretty much nothing. And I am not scared of Russians and neither is any other Ukrainian without some kind of mental damage (crazy nationalists, etc). And why would we be? It’s not about nationality. Average Russians don’t even know it’s them who’s fighting in east Ukraine atm, they’re being told we are in a civil war by their media (which is utter bullshit, I am originally from Donetsk and I’ve seen how it all went down). I could tell you more if you’re really interested, just not here. Pm me.
