BIG have handed a trial to Niels "luckeRRR" Jasiek, team manager Christian "PsYcHo" Lenz has revealed.

At an AMA [Ask Me Anything] session live on Twitch, the BIG chief said that Niels "⁠luckeRRR⁠" Jasiek will play for the team in the playoffs of Farmskins Championship #2, which will reward the winner with the final spot at IEM Katowice.

BIG currently have a three-man roster after Nikola "⁠LEGIJA⁠" Ninić stepped down from the roster and Kevin "⁠keev⁠" Bartholomäus was moved to the bench. The decision followed a series of mixed results from the German team that culminated with an early exit from the Major in the New Legends Stage, with a 1-3 record.

BIG are currently analysing their options

luckeRRR, 21, has played for teams like uX, EYES ON U and WiseWizards in the past. According to PsYcHo, the player "lost two years due to an unjustified VAC ban" that he helped to lift after contacting Valve, which admitted that a mistake had been made.

BIG's manager added that he plans to have the line-up set in a fortnight's time and that the team are considering the option of testing foreign players who speak German.

Lenz (the manager of BIG) told that he played cs and had Dota 2 Reborn running at the backround ... so there was a VAC error that caused a VAC Ban ... And so Valve checked this and realised that it was a wrong ban ... But everyone knows that Valve thinks they never make mistakes and so dont listen to single persons ... So BIG had to contact Valve and see ... The ban is lifted after a bigger org took some pressure on them to review the case

They can try him out, maybe have him as sub and use him when he can play, like in big tourneys, and play with legija elseway. I think they cant get anyone better, hes a big, big talent

All I heard was, luckeRRR being the most talented awper in the german scene. And apparently besides him there's literally noone else known that would be able to compete at big LAN's internationally. So they might recruit someone not from germany or gamble on discovering some unkown player with potential. I also think that the only relevant on BIG's roster are tabsen and nex. Gob is IGL and all that stuff, but I feel like the scene is so stacked nowadays that his current fragging power just doesn't cut it.
